Mountaineerzz willl be rolling on Saturday morning, 12.19.09.

Meet at 9:45am, Roll at 10:00am sharp

Location: Peet's Coffee, 12215 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, CA‎
(a block west of Laurel Canyon Blvd., two miles west of the Universal City Red Line station)

Parking: there should be free street parking on Vantage Ave., south of Maxwellton Rd., but check the
street signs to be sure.

The route: we have a few different routes planned so we'll take a vote at the start and pick one that
works for everyone. Fuck it. I've got a great route planned that will take us back to the meet-up
point at Peet's. I anticipate being back in the late afternoon, but make no guarantees.

If you're new to mountain biking or it's been a while since you've ridden the trails, we'll have a
few options that'll be suitable for the less experienced. The easier routes are just a portion of the entire
route, so you'll still have to pedal your way home (or back to the start point.) The route is
intermediate/advanced--there's a few highly technical spots but anyone with solid mountain biking skills
shouldn't have a problem

There will be asphalt! Like an hour of road riding to the trails. Mountaineerzz is an urban
mountain biking ride. Translation - we ride the streets to the trailhead. If riding knobby tires on pavement
offends your sensibilities, than this is not the ride for you.

Bring food, water, tools, patch kit and a spare tube. There's one potential water stop near the beginning of
the dirt and another potential stop on our way back to the start point.

Helmets are strongly recommended. Hell, they should be mandatory.
