Ridazz Roulette!

What’s your name (optional) and/or your Midnight Ridazz log-in name?

My name is Lee (L-e-e) and was known as Leetard... but now I'm known as Bicykiller.

How did you first hear about Midnight Ridazz and what was your first group bike ride?

I heard about the ridazz when I was looking for bike groups in LA before I moved here. Came across some video on youtube and was blown away. My first ride was Cruzz with Us #7 Ridazz Gone Wild... Had my first Sparks that night too.

Currently what rides do you attend regularly and what ride(s) would you like to see make a comeback?

Well damn, after having a baby in July I pretty much had no time for regular rides besides Bicykillers. I'd really like Cruzz with Us to come back... could be epic. Really enjoyed the Sins n Sprockets rides too.

What advice would you pass on to new ridazz?

Get the fuck off the internet.

If you were leading a group ride, what would you do differently?

Leading a group ride is hard ass work. People expect you to be the leader and protector of all... As a leader the best thing you can do is have a good route with a rad theme and when people start bullshit, call em out.

Do you prefer small rides (30 or less people) or larger rides and why?

All of the above man. Small rides like Pier Pressure! allow for more intimate conversation and different stops. Big groups are great for blossoming love, meeting new people, and just all out craziness. You kinda loose your regular identity on like CRANK MOB... it's like "tonight, I don't give a care about any shit that's happening in my life. I'm part of this party aura right now and nothing else matters." ON the other hand, that same feeling makes people act like shit heads, but that's all part of it.

Tell us about the best and worst experience you’ve encountered on a group ride.

Best experience would have to be CRANK MOB when we showed the CRANK MOB SOOOWHOOP! Movie we made at the start with the audio hooked up to The Box 2.0 and Richie delivered this crazy ass motivational speech that had the whole crowed so pumped. Trying to explain it all to my friends who weren't there was the worst.

Nah, the worst experience I had on a ride was on the Cruzz with Us Surf Ride when 500+ ridazz suddenly realized there was a stop at the end of the Universal Studios hill. Lots of people ate shit hard and got really hurt, one dude even went to the hospital in super bad shape... get brakes all you fixters!

What did you do for fun before you started “riding”?

I used to play in a band and skate like 4 hours a day, but got into biking after I wasn't progressing any further in skating. Felt like I was getting too old for that shit.

What’s the best and worst thing group bike rides have done for cycling as a whole in Los Angeles?

The best thing they do is draw attention to cycling. It's also the worst thing too.

If you can name 1 person who embodies the spirit of “Midnight Ridazz”, Who would it be and Why?

That one person would be named Richiefranzfuzztallcansbrassblock fo sho!

What do you think the public’s perception is of group bike rides?

It's like porn. The people who say they don't like it probably jack off to midnight ridazz youtube videos. Not that I do it, but I did it last night.

I'd call anyone who didn't wanna be a part of this amazing community a liar.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Get a car!
