Loaded bike tour, Monterey CA to Los Angeles CA

Putting this out here for everybody.

A free unsupported loaded bike tour from Monterey CA to Los Angeles CA via highway 1. Great scenery

Meet in Monterey CA on Sat may 21st at Veterans park campground ( in city limits).

probably 5 nights camping along the coast, through Big Sur, san Luis Obispo area, Santa Barbara and all the way to Santa Monica.

average 70 miles a day, camping every night, camp cooking and hitting restaurants/brewpubs.

A decent working tour bike ( of any sort) is required. I have good mechanical skills, but being prepared is best.

The weather will be so nice, minimal gear will be necessary, very inexpensive trip as well. One can tour on as little as 20 bucks a day (or

less)

I have done this trip several times, I know the roads and campsites well. Its a fun,short tour,

If you have been wanting to tour, you have plenty of time to get ready.

How to get to Monterey?

take the train to Salinas, ride the 25 miles to Monterey, you have to box the bike though ( not a major problem)
