The Haunted Ride
The title say it all, Yes Virginia, this ride is haunted!
This ride will be going to all the places you
shouldn’t go, especially on a bike.
You heard all the nasty stuff about the Valley from
the Snooty Guy who has only been here twice. You have
came out before and saw that he was all wrong. You
road the bike paths of Balboa Park, seen the beauty of
West Hills, road Cruzz with Us, through Studio City,
Encino, Sherman Oaks and the nice parts of Van Nuys
and North Hollywood. We are not going there, we are
going to places that will make you wish, you didn’t
come on this ride. In fact, I suggest you don’t even
come on the ride, it may be more then you can handle.
This ride will take you to two haunted houses. Don’t
worry about the haunted houses, worry about where the
haunted houses are located. Yes your worse nightmares
are about to come true. Oh it looks all pristine,
with nice houses and manicured lawns, but beware we
are going to BURBANK (take a deep breathe, you like to
ride your bike, the streets are well paved, but
Burbank). Yes the haunted houses are in Burbank, the
place where the police don’t like bike rides, don’t
like midnight ridazz, and they don’t like you (the
best you can hope for is, a disapproving conversation,
if that person happens to be your father). So we will
do a short, but sweet route over through Burbank in
the spirit of Halloween to visit these houses.
We will stop at each haunted house for a half hour,
for those that want to view the houses. We will leave
one-half hour after arrival at each house. Four
miles to the first house, two and one-half miles, to
the second house. Short routes? Yes, this is Burbank
we are riding through, we want to get in and get out,
unharmed. We will be going through single lane side
street to avoid the gools and goblins in Blue.
Next, if you make it out of Burbank alive, or not
detained, you will be back in the City of Los Angeles.
We could have gone through most of Burbank to get to
our final destination, but we at Cruzz with Us, are not
that cruel to do that to you.
You will no longer have to worry about the police. We
are going to parts of LA that the police won’t even go
to. You are advised to stay close together for this
part of the ride, actually, this is considered the
ride. Burbank will just be survival.
Wait, this is no cake ride either, you are going to
parts of the valley that people that live in the
valley never go to. You have no reason to go into
these parts, your common sense warns you to stay out
of these areas, but your spirited and ready to ride
the Haunted Ride, right? Again, this ride is Haunted,
you are advised to stay close together in a group.
Use a buddy system, have a group of at least five
people that you know, to stay close with the whole
ride. You may want to make sure you stay close to the
ride the whole time and not stray. Yes, have tools
and tubes, strangers are not going to want to stop in
these neighborhood to help you with a flat or
mechanical problems you may encounter. This is a
really good reason to make sure your bike is in good
working order and that your tires are, road worthy.
Again, you may not want to go on this ride, you will
be better off getting rested up for The choppercobras
event the next morning. It will be much safer in
Rev106’s ROD "The Ring of Death" at least everyone can
see you in the ROD, this ride can be easy to get lost
in, then you will be in the hands of Fate. If you
decide to go, the rewards will be great, the final
destination is a party at the "Father of Cruz With Us".
This is the party at an oasis, where you will stop
and ponder why Hef or the President doesn’t have
parties like this. Where I won’t even be going, due
to the fear of spilling something on the carpet or
ruining something. The only request is that you
contribute, by bring some of your own drinks or party
favors. We will make a final stop at a liquor store
On Strathern and Vineland, before riding the rough
streets of SpeedyBrian’s neighborhood to get to "Casa
De SpeedyBrian". Be warned, these are the streets,
that the city’s Street Maintenance department forgot
about. All roads leading to his house need to be
paved, so leave your $1300 wheel set at home.
Final Warnings
Attention Hijackers, you may think you may want to
take this ride over, but remember you are going into
"No Mans" land. HiJack it to where? Death (have a

will be taking part in this ride, so be careful, we
have signed a contract with Death. Death will be
servicing the ride, by taking personnel care of all
attempted hijackers. The Routes for this haunted
ride, will be posted and route slips will be available
for all who choose to participate. This ride will
be dangerous enough, not knowing where you are going
will not help you. Study this route before the ride.
There is lots of turns. Stay close together and you
will surely enjoy this ride. If you survive this, it
will be the ride you will tell your Grandkids about,
while sitting around the campfire.
Drinkers: as always, be on the down low, especially in
Burbank. Buy enough to get you through to the second
stop. There is no convient ent/liquor store close to
the first haunted house. We will leave one-half hour
after arrival at each house. The second haunted
house will have a liquor store at Victory and
Hollywood Way, that is open till midnight.
Ladies: The first stop in Burbank may or may not have
bathrooms, there is a public park down the street,
Verdugo Park(Clark&Pepper). I asked park official
about what time they close the restroom, the said
10:30-11pm, they may close it early. If you can, use
the restroom at the Sutton Dinner just across the
street from the start of the ride, (behind the dentist
office). If you have to go al’natural style, bring a
friend. The second haunted house has a neighborhood
bar, The Blue Chip Tavern in between the KFC and the
Starlite Liquor Store on Victory, right between Pepper
and Hollywood way, it is open til two am. Victory is
a few houses from the haunted house. They have a beer
and wine bar and will have live entertainment if you
fancy.
We will be stopping in the middle of the main ride for
the usual drink and bathroom break, there will be
indoor restroom for you to use. We will either be
stopping at Lankershim and Kittridge (5.4 miles) which
has a 7-11, a Coco’s til 11pm, Jack In Box til
midnight for restroom use and trucker’s taco appetite.
We may stop at the Liquor store at Kittridge and
Tujunga, (3.4 miles - highly unlikely) which has a
bathroom you can use. If we don’t stop at the
Kittridge and Tujunga liquor store and you need to use
the bathroom there, feel free to stop (make sure to
keep a buddy with you). When done, you can continue
down Kittridge west and pick up the ride four blocks
over at Kittridge & Beck, which should arrive there in
10 -15 minutes, or proceed down to Kittridge towards
Lankershim and meet the ride, at the Lankershim and
Kittridge rest stop.
Everybody: If the Police tell you something about what
you are doing, smile and thank them. They are looking
out for your safety.
Insane Afterparty! Be afraid! Be very Afraid! Some scary live music, and dancing till the fluffas come out. We will have a ride back to the park at 2:00am, or if you are still alive...
We meet up at the corner of North Hollywood Park (5211 Tujunga Ave./ Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood, 91601) There is plenty of parking on both streets, it is one block away from the Lankershim Metro Station and right off the Hollywood freeway!
(This is not the wolfpack hunt, no hills, lots of stops, cruise at a slow pace, lots of drinking) DRINKING IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!!!!!!!
