Are you criticizing my lack of HTML usage? Or was this a serious question that you would like to hear my opinion of?
I'm not particularly impressed by someones HTML prowess, especially on internet forums. In fact, those that think they're hacking a site (or a forum for that matter) by using cheap CSS tricks, are just showing off. No one likes a show-off.
The Internet, in general, is a form of technocracy. Those that have access are privileged, those that don't probably don't care.
But back to your original question. With the assumption that forums are actually controlled by the HTML savvy, then yeah, i guess, it can be seen by some as a technocracy.
But I don't agree with the basic assumption. Because, anyone can learn HTML and those that are savvy don't have any real "control". They may, in their heads, think they're dominating a particular thread or forum, but in reality - no one cares. And the number of people that actually
