OK, so I just moved to Venice from Silver Lake. What is there to do around here? Rides? Food? Coffee? GIVE ME ALL YOUR TIPS AND INFOS NOW KTHXBAI

jonnyboy lives in MDR, and katiepoche/alexthompson/brandon/erock all live in marvista, so there are close riders and they're probably better off to explain than i could.. but ride wise, the regular westside rides [ angelopes, cubcamp, taco tues, bikerowave movie night / den dinner on wednesdays. ]
VCM is another one.
theres also sunset ridazz for those that get off work reasonably early and that if its actually going on that day.

Dogtown...not many call it that nowadays....props to you sean...
* pho at china beach (pacific and venice)
* good coffee at the cow place (washington and pacific)
* la cabana for mexican food (rose and lincoln)
* A great Breakfast place - i forgot the name (Brooks and Electric, just North of Abbot Kinney)

I'm an eastsida but I do have some favorite food spots here.
1) Abbots Pizza
2) French Market
3) Taco Miendo (culver city)
Also in culver city is Funkmosphere on Monday nights at carbon.
Daim Funk lays down some serious boogie beats.

forgot about abbots habit next door to abbots pizza. they have a really great sandwich (the margarita) with roma tomatos, fresh water mozzarella, garlic, fresh basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.

a great farmers market at ocean park and main on the weekends.
chaya on main just north of rose has a really tasty sushi happy hour every day from 5-7. try the fried calamari with the awesome yellow sauce.

fingers still rides....i skated a few pools when he was there and the dude rips!!!!..hartzell i'm pretty sure is in hawaii and tim jackson doesn't skate often and lives in the I.E.

I miss the REAL venice pavillion..... it wasnt made for skateboarding, it was hijacked by manimals for the purpose of shredding.

when did they put in that snake run? is that new?
I used to poo poo skate parks big time citing the same reasons that people poo poo bike paths.... I figured the presence of skate parks would give cops and pedestrians excuses to tell me to get off the side walk...

it's being built this week from what the videos show...I'm 99% sure it's jesse martinez filming it....i've seen him at the location of the old pavillion a few times recently where they're building it.

the old pavillion? that's where the graf walls are... did they tear those down? I hope they did... those graf walls are TOY magnets hahah

I think they did tear them down....last i saw, they had a fence around the area where those graffiti walls were.
