the company overseas that makes that same exact frame for a bunch of other companies makes it, mongoose simply painted it and rebadged it. so youre close, but in the end, WHO FUCKING CARES?

It's a double-butted steel chromoly frame with halfway decent parts for $430. You can't blame the manufacturers for building bikes to meet market demand, even if their marketing copy is trying a little too hard.
It can be a lot cheaper and/or easier to start with a basic new fixie and build it to meet your needs than to try to do it off craigslist, where you see ridiculous stuff -

but if you did want to take the brakes off, it comes with proper foot retention, so the likelihood of "dying" (or whatever other misconceptions people have with riding fixed) is minimized.

I've never jumped onto any one, particular trend.
Been riding an MTB since I was 12, continue to do so to this day.
Although the switch-over to high-psi street tires has been quite a relief.
But, I've settled on the fact that I'd rather have more young punx trying to kill each other on brakeless fixed-gears, as opposed to killing themselves and others by emulating shit-car tricks from the "Fast and the Furious" movies.
I'm the chooser of "Lesser Evils".

it's just a funny trend i see... some fixed geared riders talk mad shit about everyone too everyone. the reality is though, these people are such losers in real life that they have to punk around others who ride bikes just to feel good about themselves. you're not tough, homie. you a ride a fucking bike. get over your fucking ego.
