LACM Critics

Last nights LACM was not a FAIL. Although there are some areas that need improvement. LACM is and has always been a work in progress.
My opinion is:
We should have stopped sooner.
The 7:30 time works better, but someone suggested a pre-CM ride at 5:30, which sounds interesting.
Someone needs to announce earlier before the ride to stay to the right and out of the opposing lanes.
And that Liquor store stop was trashed after everyone left. We need to make sure everyone picks up their mess.
The positives:
Harry who valiantly, and sometimes in vain, tried to use his megaphone to keep the riders to the right and out of the opposing traffic.
Mikey Wally did a good job of leading the ride. So did Fuzzbeast in previous rides. These two guys have a talent for keeping the ride together and cohesive.
Conclusion:
LACM was fun, but there is always room for improvement. We should never be afraid of change or improvement.
Also leave the egos at home. Everyone should work together instead of having a pissing contest.
What else?

I didnt think it was a fail either. I had a great time, and it was a great ride. Minus the fact that we didnt really stop other than at a liquor store ((naturally)) and that some of the musical choices were pretty lame, I thought it was super fun.

you people seriously can't go 2 hours without having to use a restroom? go beforehand....next month, go to the starbucks or jamba juice across the street...or rite aid a block away...
the ride was a total success...the idea is to stay on busy streets...and we did. we're all over the city on all other rides so no big deal if we only strayed 5 miles from the start....our objectives were met...no route, no leader, no liquor stops (at least for the first 1 1/2 hours).

Stop wasting time criticizing rides. There will always be reasons some people are not happy and reasons why some folks love the ride. Just go have a good time and if you find a problem on a regular basis.................DO your own ride and see what it takes to organize it and watch some fucker mess it up!!

Oh come on brad.
Just cause you have some idea of exactly what critical mass should be is no reason to have 100+ people hold it for 2 hours.
Its not the tour de france for christ sake. Its just a bike ride, let people pee or get some water...... is it really against the LACM rules to stop and once and let people be humans for a few seconds?

if there are no leaders on this ride, one person shouldn't dedicate all their time and effort into organizing it. so following MR forum logic, we should be able to criticize it for not having pee breaks.

@Brad ---> "YOU PEOPLE" huh? You're so kind. You should realize a lot of your considerations are acknowledged. Sure, we CAN ride for 2 hours without peeing, but there's no point in making critical mass an exercise in intensity.
Stop being a dick. You're much nicer in the real world. Treat your fellow riders like people, on AND off the internet.

bring water and use the restroom beforehand....pretty simple....i'm not making any rules here or leading anything....just common sense.....just trying to get it back to what it used to be and should be...on the other threads people voiced their opinions and the majority liked RIDING.

great ride- had a blst met some cool peeps- my buddy got a flat and a few dudes stopped to help and swaped cell #'s so we could catch up- that dude that got the ticket at sunset and highland had to be pissed that was total bullshit!

dee ride was awesome, except for all the trash at the end. someone even left trash tucked into my bike... better than the ground i guess.
