I was hit and runned ~6months ago on Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach just west of Sepulveda at about 9pm.
Late model, dark colored Mustang sideswiped me and kept going. The brake lights came on, but when I stood up and started to pick up my bike, they chirped out. I told a random cop about it later that evening, but she couldn't do anything without a plate # and was on another call. She suggested I go to a police department and file a report - but I was already almost home by that point. The bike was ok, shift lever bent and bar tape, pedal and saddle scuffed. I hit my knee, hip, elbow, and head. I didn't notice till a few days later that my helmet was broken. I was glad I was wearing it. I had pretty decent rear lights too. I've been lucky since then.

One time a city bus passed me on the right where there was no lane (it was a dedicated Right Turn Only lane but the bus went straight and muscled me out) and pushed me out to my left into traffic. No collision, but it came real close. Some jackass in a BMW SUV did the opposite to me on LACM last week, drove out into opposing traffic then muscled me to my right, into the mass of bikes, almost sending us all down.
Lots of other close calls too, but I've been lucky, no collisions so far.

I've had something similar happen with a bus.
I basically had to brake cause he came from behind and started moving right.
THe dickhead was coming up to a red so I gave him an earful, then i wrote doen the bus number and called metro dispatch on is ass.

i was sideswiped in april, i believe. i was in tujunga going down foothill at around 30mph when a van passed me so close that they tapped me, and at that speed i went down hard into the curb. bike got fucked up, but wasn't a total loss. i i had pretty nasty road rash, including some deep cuts on both my palms from gripping my brake levers as i went down. all i know is it was a dark colored van, as i only got a glimpse as they continued to speed off. there were some witnesses who just stared at me in awe. didn't even bother to help or make sure i was okay. fucking assholes.
