7 pm THURSDAY DEC 6TH meet in front of the BIKE STATION in downtown long beach. If you take the blue line it will drop you off in right in front of Bike Station. 20-30 mile ride at a good pace not a Wolfpack Hustle pace but a good one.

well i know tattiya she's one of the denmothers she lives in silverlake i'm sure if you get in touch with her you might be able to catch a ride

rally 6:30pm (thats when bikes are allowed again) at the blue line..and we take up a whole train with our bikes...YAAAYAA..haha...just a thought...

the guys have to jump on the blueline by 630 out in la so i'm sure they wont get to the bike station til around 715-730ish i would meet us at the pch 2nd st just before the bridge

yo, yo, yo. i'll be meeting y'all at the 7th/Metro at 6:30 (i got you, superfish). it looks like the train leaves every 10 minutes starting at 6:26pm, so it looks like 6:36pm to avoid the peak hour no bike policy. sorry if i'm repeating what folks have already known/said - this reminder is more for me so i can get my shit straight.

yay!!! thats what i like to see since everyone is leaving la on the blue line at 630 i'll post the ride to meet at 730 because it takes the blueline about 51 mins to get to lb

i'll do the best i can do to get there by 6:30pm, i'll be riding from santa monica, so it'll take me at least 50 minutes to get to the western/wilshire area. i'm going to leave work early that day...

while the blue line is ostensibly off limits to bikes between 4:30 and 6:30, i ride from 7th/metro to anaheim station (two stops before the stop by the bike station) and never have a problem during those hours. Not even the fare inspectors/sheriffs care if you have a bike on the train during rush hour...although it might be a different story for 20 wolfpack/den mother kids rushing one train (it is pretty crowded in there). but if you like to be early, you shouldn't have a problem.

TRASHBEAST -- (nice handle by the way) I also used the metro with my bike to take the edge of my 20 mile commute from time to time, and never had a problem. However I think it's one of those "there in case they need it" laws, and a dozen of us with bikes might just give 'em cause to pull it out.
At any rate, 6:30pm @ 7th & Metro works swimmingly for moi, and I'm looking forward to doing some riding in long beach.. aroooo!

thats so rad there'll be a ride in LB..i live like a 3 minute ride from the bike station and am always sad when I either have to drive or leave early to catch a train home from the rides out in LA.. I LOVE THE WOLFPACK! Im so down..I might even have a new track bike by then..yeayy! riding bikes..FAST!! crit mass is fun..but there are lots of slow people...and its not too long (miles wise)..I like to have to try and keep up sometimes :D..see ya there!

is this ride open to all bikes? Cause I proudly ride a mtn bike and enjoy riding with LB Mass and MR but i have noticed that mtn bikes are rare on these rides. Also the "why dont you just drive a car" comments I find comical!

everyone that lives in LA are going to meet at the metro station on 7th at 630 and they'll be in LBC at 720ish and everyone in LBC will meet at 730. i pushed it back from 7 pm to 730pm for the people who are taking the blue line over because the blue line takes about an hour to get to lbc

Just wanted to thank you for setting up the ride for saving Griffith Park, we are truly grateful for all the time and effort you spend on all the projects. Thought you and our group made some good points at the meeting.
I went over to the coffee shop on Glendale Blvd. in Atwater to sign the petition, but it was gone, they asked for a new one, but maybe the petition stage is done, not sure, do you know? Everyone I have been talking to is highly concern with what is going on with the park.

Daneel! Dude I was trying to remember what your screenname was! Sorry for not posting earlier. I was gonna put up a message to you guys thanking you for coming out. you and Andrew and the man with the Beanie whose name escapes me... all really had some great input and the panel appreciated us too you could tell. It was great that everyone was very respectful and understood what the panel is set up for. all in all it look bleak but only because people arent invovled. I hope creating a fun oriented ride makes it enticing to those who would otherwise skip out on being heard or involved.

how much does it cost to take the train or whatever from la?
i have no idea what the public transportation system is like.
im way more down for this ride since i wouldnt have to drive all the way to long beach.

if you mean the metro system (i.e. subway and light rail (red green blue and gold lines), it's I think a dollar fifty (one way), or 3 bucks a day. If you mean the metrolink (the big ass commuter train) that varies by distance.

I know who you are brotha I was talking about the guy who was so thoughtfully blazing me out. Maybe it wasnt so much of a beanie but a knitted cap or something? His comments were great about having a bicycle garage at the park instead of a more car parking.
