JJ's very ill with terminal lung cancer. If you want to visit him, he's at the Sepulveda VA Hospital - Building 99 Room G25. 16111 Plummer Street, North Hills 91343.

I'm going tonight at 3:30 or so and I heard he's very frail but in good spirits. I spoke to him briefly yesterday and it's hard for him to speak as he's somewhat losing his voice. He's been around M.R. since the beginning and is a very cool dude...but i'm sure you already knew that....

 I visited him today. Despite his condition he's still fuckin' punk rock. I showed him the facebook photos and words from you guys. I think he appreciated it. Keep him happy. Tough times...

 I didn't see posted visiting hours. I visited after work at 6:15pm. The doors were locked, but the nurses let me in. JJ is still in good spirits, just don't mob his room. He didn't want a crowd when I asked him about yesterday.

sorry to interject that everybody but I had to. I hardly spoke to JJ but did see him on all the rides. I hope all is painless...

 I remember looking for JJ at every MR ride. He greeted everyone with a smile and a swig of beer. The most badass dude i've ever met. He's like 115 and still partying like it's 1899.
Going to see him tomorrow. I love this man!
