I'll probably live to regret this, but here goes...
I've got a line on some work for about 4 people. It's for Wed & Thurs & possibly Friday. Work as little or as much as you want on those days. Pays $10/hour straight up.
The job: QC'ing stuffed animals. This huge shipment of 'em from China or Taiwan came in all fucked up. They need people to go over all of them and separate the bad ones from the salvageable ones. It's that simple.
We'll be working out of somebody's house, so just bear that in mind.
The work is kind of tedious and meticulous, but you can bring headphones and zone out. As long as the shit gets done right and within a reasonable time frame, it's all good.
Job's in the valley, but maybe we can set up a carpool thing if you're on the Westside or whatever.

what wasn't mentioned is that the mechanism you use to separate the good from the bad is to lick the made-in-china stuffed animal. If you are still breathing after 5 minutes, it goes in the good pile. This is why there are job openings. Only 4 bad items found so far.

So basically, you people are going to spend the entire day deciding which cute, cuddly stuffed animals--cute, cuddly stuffed animals that want nothing more than to be taken home and played with and loved by children--will live and which of them will die.

What does happen to the rejects? Unless they are toxic and will be going to "Little Lisa's Slurry" Im sure I could find a lot of children who would love to have a plush regardless.

As much as I need the extra money, I just worked 9 out of the last 10 days and I'm pretty beat.

We could use a couple more people for Friday. And it looks like this project may continue (we've got a lot to get through!) ...so if you want to work on Monday, we could probably use you. It's easy money if you're having a tough time finding work.
