They can be had for cheap
they have french sizing on parts / not standard english
some of the higher end ones had good lightweight tubing

when you buy and build a bike....your going to lose on your investment ($$ wise)
$600 is way WAY way over priced. its priced at YOUR value since you own and love the bike....think about from another person's perspective
