 This sounds like a great idea. Maybe you could do one of those Kush-town rides and have it take place in TJ. All them K-town kids should take a trip down and invade TJ. Also all those guys that go to casual pace rides like LACM and then go super fast and kill the ride, they should go down to this to.

Hurry do this quick (before the Drug War ends)

 i had an amazing ride in TJ once on my little folding bike.
I parked in SD rode across the border and took a cab to la playa.
Then i made the insane decision to ride back.
I'm glad my folding bike had rear suspension and bmx tires because i was basically riding along side of the freeway.

at one point i had to ride past a turn off, basically like being in the freeway and having to cross over an interchange. fortunately the traffic wasn't to bad.

i also had to get off the shoulder to pass a broken down car.
soon enough i wan on the mean streets of TJ.
It was pretty fucking rad.
The streets were a bit torn up, but its pretty chaotic there. Nobody gave me stress.

I love TJ.
Yeah if you are looking for drugs, hookers and drunken mischief thats what you'll find.
If you are looking for great music, great food, and interesting people you can find that too.

I haven't been to TJ in a couple of years ... but I've always had a good time.
Even the few times i got a lil wreckless and stupid, people were very nice to me.

Its pretty amazing to travel to TJ and see what happens culturally when you erect an artificial border/ fence between people.

You take a few steps and you are in another world.

I don't doubt that TJ is suffering right now.
Ever since they required a passport to cross the border lots of business has dried up. The hype about the drug war probably hasn't helped either. I have no doubt that there is more desperate people and more crime like ther was in the 80's

but fuck the club scene anyway.
its all about the dive bars and the seafood.

act a fool in TJ and you have a much better chance of getting checked.

I found those pictures I shot while I rode a little folding bike with 20" wheels from Playas to DTTJ a few years back.
It was scary, insane, and super fun.
