How about this. why not take a hiatus and come back when you are up to the task i'm guessing if you really hit the books you can turn this thing around in about 3 months.
Start with both of Obamas autobiographies (you can rip the audio versions for free on limewire). Watch yer-self some daily show, and colbert report. Get a daily dose of the news (for context), and get caught up on all of the SNL Obama parodies.
If you've done all that and you still suck this bad ... maybe its time to hang it up and start over with something different.
