Hey all!

Anyone going to Burning Man this year? Want to take part in a humorous performance ride?

I'm a newbie here, a fellow rida recommended I post this idea here and see what people think:

I'm thinking about a spoof Tour at the BRC this year? We can get a passle of spandex wearing, geeked out road cyclists in a staged peleton riding through the BRC and the playa.

The look is of an authentic pack of road racers in the desert. Speed can be fast, or insanely slow (put granny gears on your road bike and pedal super fast at 2mph).

Anyone interested?

 I'm already working on my peleton helmet and I got my spandies ready.

I'm thinking I'm going to lead the pack for most the race at 5mph on my minibike.

No, not scheduled, not on any calendar, its a thought that burped out of my brain this very day.

Tricky, because I'm sure most people won't want to bring a road bike, but I thought it would be hilarious to be in, and funny to watch...

If there's interest, let me know. It'll be easy for me to bring a road bike, and if others are interested, we can all get dressed up and make like a club-ride... (I'm actually proud to say that I'll need to go buy some spandex!)

I'm a free camper at this point (and in Oregon), but will be definately looking up the ridas camp this year.

 I'd be happy to organize the event and plan the route. The original idea would have the participants all on roadies wearing race gear, glasses and helmets.

Powerbars and gatorade all 'round.

I know bringing road bikes to Burning Man makes a ton of sense, and everyone has tons of space for extra equipment, so bringing along your road bike is sure to happen...

Seriously though, if there aren't enough roadbikes, we can open it up to other bikes with speed riders as long as we can maintain a realistic peleton while going super slow...
