I'm going to this ride, and while VCM has certain emerging traditions such as soccer, it is a Critical Mass. I plan to make sure that the Critical Mass tradition of the group making collective decisions is respected. I'm all for meeting LACM, but it has to be the groups decision. The majority of that group is not on this board, so if we could refrain from making decisions for them, that might be good.

i disagree w/ Alex. 47% of the people don't care where they ride, 65% want people to plan something cool like a meet-up, and 3% should go back to the past cause that's where they are living.

Who's coming to this ride? We've got 29 confirmed Facebook guests which is pretty good . . . best since the first ride when we had 130, and then it rained all day beforehand.

Venice cm is the only ride I’ve ever seen where at one point every person (about 30) was playing a group game. Come pLAy!

Thanks for a fun time everyone. I'm glad I met up with y'all on my way home from work the other night. That was my first venice cm and it was all sorts of unexpected goodness. Alex, thanks for letting me participate in you experiment on the rings and big thanks to who ever let us use the pool at their apartment (I arrived late so I didn't quite figure out who's place it was).

It was fun. I couldn't play soccer because I can't play soccer for the life of me too well. But if it was basketball, well, we'll game on.
Nice to know SMPD has its priorities. Protecting Rose Bushes. Not that I live around there but It's nice to know Santa Monica has it's priorities such as protecting a hidden bee colony at City Hall we all weren't aware of.
After I left, I rode back to Hermosa Beach and arriving there 50 to an hour later, the bars are close to closing at one???? What bar closes at 1??? Apparently, bars at Hermosa close at 1 AM.

Noble, next ride I will have a decent quality basketball with me (Wilson Jet Indoor/Outdoor or equivalent), for those that prefer one sport over the other. Mar Vista park is a gem, it was my first time there. VCM is turning into a real multi-sport workout, we might as well jump in the ocean next month!

My third CM, and my first in Venice...fun times, and a good ride. My leg is still sore from getting twisted in the mud at SM City Hall. What are my legal rights :P
