Was riding home from the Mosey and some guy intentionally backed into me. Asshole bent up my front wheel. Not too bad, but it's not rideable. Luckily, I was only a couple blocks from my apartment.
I think I got his license plate number, though, and the police are on their way so I can file a report. REALLY hope he gets it up the ass.

I mean, this was SO minor compared to accident's other people have had, but it was SO unnecessary and SO completely intentional on the car's part.

Sucks too because it was such a good night and then, when I am two blocks from my house, some guy pulls this shit. Ugh.

Unless that car was named K.I.T., it was probably operated by a person. From the sounds of it (s)he was a real asshole.

Yeah, a person, I know. But being behind the wheel of a car does tend to make people aggressive in a special way (inlcuding myself, which is one reason I don't have one).
....Plus, the windows were tinted, so I didn't see a person. Only a car.

I've come to the conclusion that when people get behind the wheel of a car, the worst territorial instincts of the mammal brain just come to the front of the mind and take over. That, combined with the mind-numbing frustration of being stuck in traffic in this city, bring out the aggression of the
reptile parts of the brain.
A person can be cool.
But people are dumb, scared, panicky, territorial animals. Chimps, hurling around tons of metal at high speeds at close proximity to each other. Really, the DMV should be giving out Zanax prescriptions with licenses.
Sorry to hear this happened to you, man. Stuff like this just makes me want to yell FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING FUCK. Not at you, of course.

Yeah, happy I am okay, that it was pretty minor incident. More of an annoying inconvenience than anything else. Just so fucking pointless. I mean, why risk potentially getting in legal trouble just to fuck with somebody? Stupid fucking car driver.
And, because I couldn't give them a definitive, full license plate and because there were no witnesses and because I wasn't actually hurt (just my bike), the cops said that they could file a report but that it would go nowhere. That it would pretty much just go wherever police reports go to die. Which is kinda frustrating, but understandable.
Meh.
