Crushed bike @ toy ride party

My beloved, daily-rider 'Dahlia', a vintage univega gran sport, was tragically run-over by a silver SUV at the toy ride after party. It was parked in the dirt near the fence across the street from the warehouse...it had been there for approximately two hours when i saw the crushing out of the corner of my eye. The driver was nice enough, offering me a ride home and whatnot, but i was in no state to deal with any kind of negotiations at the time.
My rear wheel is trash (the hub MIGHT be salvageable). The rack is bent, the derailleur is completely broken, and the derailleur hanger is irreparably bent into the spokes. I have a feeling the whole rear triangle of the bike is bent, but it's hard to tell until i take the rack off and stuff.
If anyone has any info on who the driver was (early 20s, female, possibly indian descent), i'd appreciate being put in contact with her. She was giving rides to riders i know, and i was under the impression she was friends with the venue residents.

I'd really hope so - i could have demanded some cash from her then and there and made a scene, but i figured it could be handled when everybody wasn't fucked up already.

Lol yeah i should have got some contact info, but serioiusly, i don't think i've ever been tripping so hard in my life, and i was just about peaking when i saw my broken bike...i kinda couldn't deal with it; needless to say it ruined my trip but more importantly i wasn't thinking clearly about not getting screwed.

I remember how bad that shit was the first time I saw it.
I wasn't quite sure of whether or not you made contact with the driver either.
In this case, everyone's mind was in a completely different zone, so who knows what was going on.

he said some friends got a ride from her. they should step up. i mean, put yourselves in his shoes, would you want your friends to turn the other cheek or close their eyes or would you expect them to step up and do the right thing?

Man, I really thought the driver of the car would have stepped up by now. That sucks. I hope it's just that she (or her friends) haven't been on the MR forums yet.
But really, if anybody knows the people in the car, let Lance know, and if you have their contact info, tell
them to contact Lance, too. Midnight Ridazz look out for one another...

Less than 100 people are active on the forums typically, and there hundreds of people at the toy ride. It's more likely that's she not on MR, but I sure hope the word spreads from someone who is reading this and passes it on to her.

After some preliminary investigating we found a pink condom from India near the fence and several tire tracks. There seems to be no correlation between the two. Results are inconclusive.

I do eddie, don't worry...but all i got is my steelman, which is sadly too expensive/irreplacable for any bike trip that doesn't involve 100% secure parking.
Thanks for passing along the info, patrick - i've met the guy who lives in that warehouse more than once and he's never been anything but awesome, so i am still very confident this is just an issue of getting in contact with the right people.
