we ride hard and fast to get to all the rides that happen all over the place, but never have to talk about it. whereas the westside is like "OMG WE RODE LIKE, EIGHTEEN EXTRA MILES LAST NIGHT TO GET BACK HOME FROM DTLA. ALL IN THE NAME OF EFF UE EN LOLLLLLLLL" because they live in a bubble or something.

I wanna see westsiders come up and get stuck up here long after the metro has stopped running and their only options are chahuenga pass or sepulveda pass. neither of which are bad, however, after thre tall cans and three pithers of stella on a wednesday????

if youre going through griffith park to the westside, then you have to climb los feliz once you hit the kool aid fountain, and thats certainly an overwhelming task for someone who rides to parking lots to drink, if you know what im saying.

300-500 ft above sea-level is better than the current choke of the 3000 ft elevation I've got to contend with everyday up here.
Some people complain about the smog in your neck of the woods, but I actually breathe better and ride harder down there.

Yet people act as though I don't put those solutions to use.
For the reason of why no one is interested in party-riding in the desert, there is no silver-bullet.
Until I'm financially able to escape this "slow, death-zone", it's all about staying in shape, pissing off the Boomers, and then dealing with the potential court summons.

I've got other ways and use them, but how else am I supposed to relax?
I've reignited the gym-thing and use it to the full extent.
But, before I go further,why is this thread slowly turning into "Why Adam should care about the community in which he lives?"
And the only time I ever felt satisfied by "solo-rides" was when I was OTR and got to experience a different country-side every week.
Here, it's the same tract-homes, same dumpy blandness, nothing special.

The goal of the ride would be that when they show up to "regulate" we'll all look like them. Yellow polos and black pants or shorts will creat a situation a la Thomas Crowne Affair. (Um, I didn't watch that movie... uh.... um.... just heard about it from a.... uh.... friend.)
It's gotta happen in the summer... it'll be great!
