If you are currently struggling with an Internet troll, the best thing to do is to walk away, since trolls feed on attention, and they will usually disappear if they are ignored.

 I would say that most posters to MR qualify as a troll or acting trollish at one time or another. And yes for the most part, we take each other and ourselves way to fucking seriously.
