 Trans-atmospheric, shuttle-landings at Edwards, killer every time.

Now if only they could kick the East Coast to the curb and utilize Vandenberg!!!

That would kick ass, I remember a few years ago when they were doing a missile-defense system test from there.

A big ass, light in the sky that looked like the G-man itself was coming down!!!

 yeah. shortly after 1pm i was leaving the hollywood farmer's market when i heard it in the sky. boom, boom!!. there were talks of the space shuttle not being able to make a landing in kenedy space center in florida so there second option is always edwards airforce base in southern cali. that's what it was peeps. it was THE SPACE SHUTTLE discovery making it's re-entry to our atmosphere thus breaking the sound barrier simultaneously. AMAZING ISN'T IT?
