BTW, It would be awesome to see this exhibit in Italy tour. http://brunelleschi.imss.fi.it/biciclette/index.html
They say the exhibit is not up yearly. So it would be possible to have this exhibit tour the west coast. Even up to Canada.

 to be honest, it was the drasienne, the precursor to the bicycle that is 191 years old, while like a bike, it had no pedal drive and was powered by straddling it and running. The bicycle itself, while it is unknown who actually build the first one, was first produced by the Michaux company in Paris in the mid 1860's. In all likelyhood it was a machinist at Michaux company who invented it, and never got the credit (there was some legal battles over it, but nothing ever resolved completely).
