Rida Down - Follow up?

I witnessed a kid fall pretty hard at the start of the People's Ride. We turned left after the Solutions store and went down a hill.
This kid was mashing, got caught in a crack and was floored faster than I could even believe. Then, he slid about 25 feet into a curb where he left a puddle of blood.
Looked like he needed some stitches and his memory back.
Last I saw he was hauled off in an ambulance.
Anyone have any details about him? Just wanted to make sure he was alright...

Wish I had some info for you, but I wasn't there last night. Still hope the kid is okay, though.

i hope the dude's okay. it was nice to see so many people want until help arrived.
i knew he got caught in a crack! those cracks on fountain going east after sunset are fucking dangerous! they're not even cracks per se, but the division of the concrete slabs. i guess as long as car tires can roll over them, the city doesn't really care whether or not they're dangerous for cyclists.

All his friends waited for him at the crash and we ended up hearing about it about a milelater and we waited at am/pm till after his ambulance left.
Do any of his friends read he site?
I hope he is ok.

It really sucks that he got hurt so badly, hitting that crack. I hope he is OK, and I hope he decides to get back on his bike with a helmet on. Helmets are handy. They keep your brains inside your head.
