Salton Sea can happen any of the other 51 weekends of the year.
It's right outside of LA. It doesn't need a 3 day weekend. If you still want to go on that same weekend... whatever do what you want...
Core eleet iz going to Portland on President's weekend.
Plane tickets to Portland are CHEAP that time of the year and the zoobombers are offering couches and cuddle piles.

Well you know the vast majority are gonna go to Salton Sea, but I would expect a group of ridazz goin to MBW too. Both will be equally awesome, just depends on your preferences.
Okay, I've got a few days before I could see about putting is some "days off" requests in order to do this.
Aside from Marino suggesting the "fly-by-night" idea, anyone else going the over-land route?
Bus, train, rental/personal car/van?
Pure speculation for myself right now, but since there appears to be two factions as far as trips go, I would most definitely get involved with this one due to not having seen an actual river, or tasted a quality PDX brew in three years.
I'm definitely down for putting money in on a van if people are interested in van-goahing. I will provide foodz and warm shelter... oh yes, and a shower at the end of it all.
If someone can take my bike for me or somehow secure a bike for me in Portland, I will buy my tickets tonight. I doubt this will happen but I am hoping. I need to look into those airlines and see if I can take the bike with me for free or if they will rape me for it.
50/50 right now
If I go, I'm most likely going to be renting a vehicle in order to see some old neighbors that now live in Roseburg.
I'll keep the stats updated as to the final say-so for myself.
Thanks so much!! I will buy my tickets soon!
If van happens I will bring my own bike but most likely will not know until way later so for now let’s just say I will accept your kind offer.

I thought tickets were cheaper but because of my work schedule I would have to take a different flight and that doubled the cost of airfare. Can’t make it to this
So with some simple math,
2 people driving up in a honda Civic that gets 30mpg it's no more than $110 roundtrip per person..
That's pretty awesome... If we did the van, it would be at most $120 per person
and the van would include:
Entertainment system: LCD Video Screen, X-Box 360 + Video Games and wireless headphones
Stereo: CD player with iPod Support
Cargo: Separate and secure cargo hold
Note: most Sprinters have tow hitches.
Vehicle Options: Cruise Control, Power Windows, Power Mirrors, Power Locks
Miscellaneous: AC Power outlets (for laptops and cell phone adapters, etc.)
