After 2 years of 3rd Friday monthly rides, The Ride With No Name is saying CIAO (for now). We will be doing an occasional ride from time to time...but until then, come out and join us on the 2 year anniversary ride through the streets of Los Angeles.
Thanks for the memories.
Really appreciate everything you brought to this ride: enthusiasm, fun easy going vibe/feel to it, awesome spoke cards, parts of the city we'd otherwise never traverse.
Well, it seems the longer I'm not able to get down to these, the quicker they all seem to disappear.
But then again, the drama from either LE or general rebellious participants seems to be the final nail in the coffin for great, chill group rides like this.
Having been to only 2 of these awesome rides, I can tell that the ratio of assholes per capita is very low here in fact, I don't remember having to yell at anybody on last Friday's.
It really sucks to see it go away.
yes adam, its all your fault. the world revolves around you and no one else. no one rode a bike in la before you found a group of idiots in las vegas. jesus christ.
there is no nail and no coffin
general excitement about group rides seems to eb and flow.
Big ups to Barleye for carrying the mantel since S&S retired.
Its a lot of work and stress to put on a ride like this, so its only natural that there be some turnover now and again.

riding in a peloton thinking youre lance armstrong is the new riding in a group of idiots thinking you are who jared leto wants to be.
racism is cool too. hopefully we can snatch cycling back from the common man and give it back to the rich white europeans who dominated it for so many years.
Man I had so much fun only missed 3 of this rides my favorite was when we went to maywood all does lil streets we took sweet what are you planing on doing for the third anniversary..
The route for the 2 year anniversary ride looks to be complete...almost no inclines....2 stops as usual....Tell everyone you know to come out....all I ask is 4 hours of your time this month on November 19th.
Te Saludo senior oats&barleye.
You picked up the 3rd Friday slot and filled it with a jamming ride. It couldnt of been done by anyone better. Three cheers for Milton Bradley
Hip hip Hooray

The route looks really good....seriously...if you are reading this and you used to do the big group rides but no longer come out due to whatever reason(s), please try to come out for this ride...I'd like to end the monthly portion of this ride on a good note....that means you dan B, dingo, mr. rollrz, stillline, tallcans, boludo, jeff dahmer, pistolero and my other polo peeps, stevo, all my westside homies, richie, annie, SEXY, BIG SEXY.....ok that's it for now...i'll be back here in a few days to bump it up...
brad and louis, my favorite nonfunctional bickering married couple.
have all good- large group rides really come to an end? basically.
i'm gonna miss the flavor this ride had.
Even tho we don't come out to your ride any more you shall be missed we had some great and bad times(espcially the neighbor hoods)!!Love the Routes, PPL, Spoke Cardz!!! RWNN was the ride we lampre to when we first started so we have our memories!!
FYI If youre going to take a huge ride up a hill for a half mile then it might be a nice idea to stop at the top and wait for all the stragglers to catch up instead of blasting down 4th street and dropping us.
I was female and alone in an unfamiliar part of town because I got dropped unnecessarily. Not cool.
Glad I made it out - my first "big" ride in a while. Really great seeing a lot of the old familiar faces again. Totally worth getting a little wet, in fact one of the few times that I've enjoyed riding in the rain, although it was even better once the rain stopped.
RWNN went out on a high note! Thanks again, Barleye.
I really wanna thank everyone that came out last night and especially my friends who have been on hiatus from big group rides the last year or so.... You guys came thru for me and I truly appreciate it...A ride leader couldn't have asked for a better send off for a ride.
My polo people took the night off at the rink to show support and you guys rule for that...The rain for me was the best part..haven't done that in a long time...Some left when it started drizzling but a huge majority stuck with the ride....Also, thank you to Harry for rebuilding the music trailer almost single handedly and pulling it again.
I had a great time on the ride and again, thanks to my friends for making it so fun and coming out...There is still hope for the big group ride to be fun and survive...Hopefully last night was all the proof you needed....
I had a blast Barleye! Riding in the rain
rules. You really don't get cold if you keep moving. I cut out at LoS Feliz cause it was so close to snuggleville.... But was stoked to see all the oldschool Ridazz out there. Let's all travel the world together.
Amazing RWNN last night. Always the best. Rain couldn't of made it more memorable , Seeing so many people sticking it through to the end, awesome.
Thanks Barlad!

Barleye, That was a great ride. I bailed at Griffith Park since I was wet and close to home, but I thought the rain was a great element for a last (?) ride.
My favorite part was riding by that dude in the old blue (?) truck, who from a distance looked as if he was trying to push his way through the turn, but when you rode by he was stopped and cheering us on saying "Roll out, soldiers"...(or something like that).
I was expecting a bad ass ride kind of didn't agree with the route but the rain made it all better epic like some of you hipsters say in here..good ride after all..now I have to find something to do on the 3rd Fridays ugh!!!..
This ride sucked.... It was fun I dipped out on los feliz because skinny jeans/ wet.. ummmm... yeah ... but it was cool seeing tons of people and I enjoyed myself... Sucks this ride wont be monthly anymore .. I always had a good time ...
I called Allan at about 1:00 and he was on his way back to Long Beach on the Blue Line. He said he didn't feel like he broke anything but you know how that goes.
GREAT RIDE, encompassing all of the three Rs: Rain, Ridin', and Rikk Agnew. Oh, and Retards...but they all bailed as soon as the rain started (you could tell because the size of the group shrunk by half and there was nobody riding in the Darwin lane). Thanks, Barleye. I hope the RWNN comes back some day. Maybe I'll start actually showing up!

Thanks Barleye for all the amazing playlists, routes and memories....
Last night was perfect! Being among such great people and good attitudes (in the rain) is seriously the greatest way to spend a 3rd Friday! ♥
Riding in the rain was motivating and awesome and epic and very scary. I wish I was better equipped and I wish I hadn't just started riding with bare handlebars that were too big for me. That was kinda the death of me.
Riding in the heavy rain reminded me of all the stories of the Heavy Metal ride.
Thanks Brad for a great ride.

...aaaaaaand it's a broken collarbone. Two weeks with his arm in a sling and an indeterminate amount of time off the bike, according to the docs at the hospital.
And thanks, Brad, for a great ride! Definitely looking forward to its quarterly (or whatever form it happens to take) return.
Riding in the rain was fun. I was really digging the part in Frogtown, where the older guy on the super-low chopper joined up with us and started making crow noises. That was pretty surreal.
He hurt his ankle and finger, with maybe a few other minor scrapes. He seemed to be able to move his foot around alright, but he was having trouble putting weight on it. Hopefully nothing's broken. Since he and his friend driven to the start, they were able to just load up and go home.
You might want to try a figure eight brace - it was way more comfortable for me when I had a broken collar bone, as well as allowing the use of both hands.
Thanx Brad, excellent route, good riding. Anybody out there who wants to pick up the slack and do a nite ride like this, I hope u were taking notes cuz Brad was showing you how it's done. Hopefully in a few months when the weather warms up we'll see this ride again, cuz I kno I'll be there...
