i'm so excited! i just installed a converter on my rabbit ears antenna and now i have 15 asian tv stations instead of just 3. good times ahead!!!

Just let the T.V. go. You will be better without it. I've been TV free since 1997.

Would be fun to be an engineer to flip the "switch" for the last final time.

I would be interested to find out what "old" TV's will receive once those frequencies have been populated by other services.

good idea well if you have cable you dont need a converter box. idk if youre still able to get the coupon for the box. gives you like some money of the original price.

you need to apply for the goverment coupon program to get $40 credit toward a converter. using that, you can pretty much get one for free. I ordered mine from amazon. Free shipping/no tax. :D

Bye-bye NTSC (stands for "Never The Same Color") Analog TV, but Long Live TV man!

When they're all recycled, I'll miss (a little, but not much) being able to tune an analog TV in between stations, look at the static, and say:
* Look at that: About 1% of it comes from the microwave Cosmic Background Radiation initiated 300,000 years after the Big Bang (see page 6).
* No really!!!! I read it on the internets so it must be true!!!!!
* Why do you look so glazed over?

People will forget what it looks like, but there will always be static.
