I'm going to get a 15 person van but need people to confirm. It would be around $30 each person.

Yes, you do have to be 25 unless you want to pay extra insurance $$. Tim and I are renting it. My uncle works at a car rental close to LAX, so he's giving us a nice deal at $60 a day!

Chynna.... I went to the interview today. Went exceptionally well... just have that little incident that happened at the CSUN pool a few years back while on that bike ride that has me a little worried but I have faith that things will work out. I'll let you know by Wednesday what I've decided. Hopefully Bertha has also decided to come along.
Here's how it's going to work.
It's a 15 passenger van with the back seat taken out. We will sit 11 to 12 people.
The rear seat taken out allows space for BIKES. We also have a BIKE RACK that will hold 2-3 bikes. Everyone's SHIT goes UNDERNEATH the seats. Each person can bring 1 bag + sleeping bag + tent + bike + firewood or tools like shovel etc. so we can fit. WE WILL FIT DON'T WORRY IT'S A 15 PASSENGER VAN
THIS MEANS IT'S HUGE.
I'm going to set up a time and place for us all to meet and load the van.
First people who confirmed obviously have dibs, but if the unconfirmed people do not come, people who want a ride are GOING. First paid = first served.
I'm doing this MARCUS VANDERSTORM FUNVANSION style! If you've been on any San Diego trips you know how this works.

there is a huge ass grocery store along the way, where we'll stop for food.

We had 9 people in a 15 person van with only 8 seats + 15 bikes (three tall bikes on the rack and the rest inside) on the way back from NOLA. It works.

We are definitely fitting 12 bikes in a 15 person van with a bike rack.
Marcus has taught us the way of the van and now we are excited to pass on his wisdom.

I have one working mountain bike and that one isn't mine... it's my brother's friend's blue something or other (heavy ass mu'fucka) Coldcut can come pick up either the schwinn (red frame, shitty rims and worse tires) and the green girl one (shitty rims and worse tires)
I don't really have any other option at this point. Will keep on looking tho.
