Let me just tell you a couple of cool stories.....

First, I signed up for The Secret inspirational text messages to be sent to my phone via their website. The other day I was stressing about money, and I've had the book idea on my mind, but like you I had no idea of how I would publish it. So I dropped my oldest daughter off at pre-school and on the way home I told myself, "Okay, I'm not going to stress about money anymore. I'm going to decide right now what I want to do with my life. What do I want from the bottom of my heart? The pit of my stomach the most? I have had a few money making ideas that I've been kicking around. But right then I said okay, decide right now, and the money will come. I'm not going to think about how I'm going to do it, just decide what I want to do the most and it will happen. So from the bottom of my heart I really felt that I wanted to write the book the most. I pictured it as already published, what the cover would look like. Selling millions of copies, interviews on Oprah (lol).

Well, my baby had woken up at 5:30AM that morning, so when I got home I put her down for a nap and put myself down for a nap too =]. When I woke up the first thing I did was grab my blackberry and check my messages. The first text was from The Secret and it said:

"You are the author of the book of your life, WRITE!!" The Secret.

It was right then that confirmed to me that this stuff is no mumbo jumbo. It really does work. So I called my mom first thing and told her (she is a big Secret believer too), and then she says oh yeah, I meant to tell you, I saw this talk show the other day about this 10 year old little boy who wrote a book and published it on Amazon for free. Long story short now I am writing my book.


Story that happened to my sister....

Yesterday her and her boyfriend went up to Tahoe because someone in his family was getting married. My sister and her boyfriend are on a limited budget. They called me and asked how much it was to get into The VEX club at the casino. I said 20 bucks and about an hour and a half wait in line, then $10 a piece drinks. She said, "Oooh, okay" in a voice that I could just tell was like damn, that's going to end up costing us a lot of money. But I said that if you get about 6 people together for $50 a piece, or $300 all together, you can get a VIP booth which comes with a bottle of alcohol, mixers, VIP line entrance, cocktail service and gratuity. So she was like okay thanks, bye. I thought, they probably won't even go.

Later that evening she calls me soo stoked. She says Shannon, I have to tell you something so cool! First Brad's Aunt Krissy won $300 and cashed out the ticket. Then she gave it to me and told me and Brad to spend it and have a good time tonight. Then she and Brad went up to their hotel room for a little bit. Then Brad's cell phone rings and it's his Grandma saying that she just won $100 bucks, and his Grandpa won $1000 so to come down because they wanted to give them the $100. So they go downstairs to the casino. Brad takes the $100 ticket. They say, go ahead, put it in the slots (Wheel of Fortune). So he gives it to Kellie (Brad wasn't a believer in the Secret by the way) and tells Kellie to play the slot. So she puts the $100 ticket into the machine and hits the button a couple times... nothing. Then she starts saying to herself, Oh my god I won a thousand dollars! Oh my god I won a thousand dollars! She hits the button the third time.... what happens?? She wins exactly a $1000!!!

So she called me to tell me she used The Secret to win a $1000 and from that point forward she knows without a doubt that she can do anything. I said, see... it's that easy! And the best part of all is now Brad is a believer too. And later that night they got that VIP booth and partied like rocks tars. Ha.
