Thursday Night Raccoon Kit Ride

Thread started by

The idea is to provide a ride for people trying to get faster but can't quite keep up with the Raccoon ride so I'll be trying to incorporate some decent speeds and a bit of climbing. I would also like to start doing some longer routes towards the end of the month to get distance training in.
Where: Mission Street Gold Line Station, Mission St and Meridian Ave.
When: Meet at 8pm roll at 8:30.

This weeks route is a bit shorter, <25 miles through the usual cities with eagle rock thrown in a for a bit.

dont bring your beach cruiser/ old rusted mountain bike that you just pulled out of the garage, do bring your bike that is in working order, your legs and some water.......

Or do, as long as you don't mind putting in some work. Two weeks ago a guy came out on a creaky 12 speed and made it the whole route, but he was pushing it and still behind the main group; had to ride back a few times to make sure he caught the turns.

Props to everyone for completing tonights ride, it was a quick one.
Sorry to the lady we dropped but tonight wasn't really the time to bring a hybrid :(
I'll try to map out the route tomorrow

So how fast will this ride be?

It depends on who shows up, this isnt a ride that takes 10 minutes breaks every mile though.

After two weeks off, we're back with a new route that clocks in a little over 26 miles. Should be a good one.

Project X
the straight edge band from the late 80's?
I'm as straight as the line that you sniff up your nose
I'm as hard as the booze that you swill down your throat
I'm as bad as the shit you breath into your lungs
And I'll fuck you up as fast as the pill on your tongue

This time you pushed me too far!

Well, I folded Drew.
Too much shit occurring in a short time span to get that parody-ride put together.
I'm just a high-speed, music-man now.

No we have nothing to do with that straight edge band.
Also I have no idea what the above posts are about.
Tonights route is the same as all the other January rides, about 26 miles. Since these forums are a pain to look at and use I don't often check here, you're better of asking questions on lafixed.

The 19th will be a special ride to a concert at the end woo. This means we won't be going directly back to the station at the end of the ride. You will however be told how to get back if you need it and I'm sure there will be people going that direction.
