From what I understand, the management of the rides was beginning to get a bit difficult.
Much of the rowdiness that defines some of the other rides was creeping into his rides and it's best to say that leading a smaller, contingent like Barchopz is an easier cake to ice.

All I can say is that if you want your rides to be like the old Cruzz With Us rides make the flyers look extremely exciting.
Most importantly make it CLEVER.
Look at the old flyers for CWU rides. Bright color font, lots of funny photos, and most of all these ideas were pretty new and exciting.
Seriously, the reason pedal punx rides aren't like CWU is because of the fucking flyer, they write one sentence and that states where and when the ride is.
I know it sounds stupid but thats just how it works.
Make it appealing and clever. and there you have a ride with lots of people.

May I humbly suggest that you try to get speedybrian to give you all directions and you all make it happen. His experience and his (in my opinion) silly themes. You all make the route, find the stops, make the spoke cards, and handle the herding of the ride. I think it would work. I know he was trying to recruit some help before he stopped doing it. I would have loved to been part of it, but I had another ride that was took much of my energy at the time. I actually can say I did one of the cruz with us rides under his directions. Turned out well.
Talk him into trying it once with his direction and you do all the work. See if it works out. If you all enjoy doing it (or can bare it) see if he'll do another one. He would probably hand it over to you after a while.
Or make that pedal punxs happen. Follow Grahams suggestion of a better flyer.
There was also the fact he put as a midnight ridazz ride (with the permission of MR's GOD himself.) that got more people out to it.
Plus it takes a few rides to get a reputation and then people start coming to it more.

after more thought,
maybe it's better that our valley rides stay small.
the reason we're all intimate and know each other by first and last name is because we have small rides.

Need to promote the hell out of your ride Grahams right I didn't do shit to promote any rides thats why I'm giving you guy the rides for summer.

but do we want it that big though?
when we went to hansen dam on saturday, everyone made pretty decent speed and timing on the climb.
i know for a fact that if the rides get bigger, that small climb up to the dam would be a huge ordeal.
plus, more people equals more trash. yeah yeah yeah, we can enforce people cleaning up after themselves but that never works.
hmmmmmmmmmm
idk.
@mattspeed
have u started working on the flyers?

There's always time for small rides, they have their place just like big rides. Both are great in their own way.
I LOVE small rides, their much more cohesive. But the feeling of a big ride is amazing, so many faces and eyeballs. The valley NEEDS a good a big ride, no matter what drama it brings with it.

We just need to focus on going to new and exciting places instead of barging into the same liquor stores. Don't get me wrong though, I love drinking beer, in fact I'm drinking beer right now.

hmmmm
yeah, i agree.
but we HAVE TO ENFORCE some ground rules before we start making the rides consistent.
some simple rules.
1. no littering. (maybe always make sure the stops have trash bins). like don't go anywhere that doesnt have trash bins. not many folks ride while drinking anymore.
2. no blowing lights unless half the pack is already going through.
3. no fucking with drivers, especially when corking, being polite and shit.
etc etc

as far as the routes, i think its been long enough that we can start recycling the routes from previous cruz with us rides.
and with all the newbs too, i dont think theyve even been cruz with us rides.
i wonder if brian has those routes saved up somewhere.
