If the Yellowstone Caldera blows, the heating problem will be solved for a bit.
Me, I'm just feeling fucking tired no matter how much sleep I try to get.

It's ten degrees out here.
There's afoot of snow on the ground.
It's been fourteen hours.
I desperately miss my bike.

This is terrible. Now that I'm back in Idaho, I'm twice the refresh junkie I was in LA. I brought books to read, work to do, music stuff to mess around with etc., but here I am on the Midnight Ridazz forums...
Yesterday, I actually thought about trying to fix my dad's old mountain bike and going riding in the snow. But the snow's gotten too deep on the trails behind our house, so I'd just be cranking until the derailleurs got frozen up. Maybe I'll have to see if my old cross-country ski boots are buried in a box somewhere...

I am in the same boat guys. Fucking SO bored and it's so fucking cold right now. My bike is 2500 miles away and I'm finally as of tomorrow just a third of the way through my visit to Ohio. Fuck fuck fuck fuck!!
Get this....
After watching a movie with my parents I flipped on the news to see that some Time Warner contractor was literally FROZEN TO A FUCKING TELEPHONE POLE for half an hour before the fire squad & EMS was able to rescue him and send him to the hospital with a near deadly case of hypothermia.
Fuck. that.

I got to my house at 1 in the morning, and my mother promptly went to bed.
I'm the only person I know awake in like a fifty mile radius.
I get tired about two hours post sunrise, California time.

And hey, speaking of "Pray for Mojo," there was an
awesome interview with George Meyer (legendary Simpsons writer) in
The Believer a few years ago. I re-read it when the Simpsons thread popped up. He said that "Pray for Mojo" was his favorite line. It's a great little read for anyone who's bored *cough*cough*, so y'know, just throwin' that out there...
Anybody have any other suggestions for fun stuff to do that doesn't involve direct confrontation with the elements?

So get this...
I forgot to bring my cell phone charger home for the holidays, and my battery died. Under normal circumstances, this would be no big loss, since I don't have reception here anyway, but I needed to get my roommate's phone number off my phone.
I usually just use a USB cable and charge off my computer, so I check at the Radio Shack. No cables; no chargers. Then I go to the wireless store. No cables. Chargers are 20 bucks. The clerk walks up to ask if I need any help.
me: I forgot to bring my changer home with me. Do you have anything that would work for my phone?
clerk: Let's see. How long are you in town for?
me: It'll be... four more days, I guess.
clerk: Oh. Well, would you like to just
borrow a charger for a few days?
me: (pausing to process the question) Wow! Seriously?
clerk: (hands me the charger) Sure - Just bring it back when you're done.
Jesus. Small towns. Amazing!
