The Bicycle Tree, a non-profit cycling advocacy group (which I am a member of) in Orange County, is hosting their second annual pancake breakfast Saturday Oct. 24.
It's goes from 9 am to 11:30 am in Hart Park in Orange.
Yeah its early, and yeah its a long ride for many, but yeah its for a good cause.

What's the public transportation like from Union Station? Would that be Metrolink or is there another train that goes down there?

Looks like Metrolink goes as well as Amtrak, but the return schedule is kinda funky.

Metrolink station in Orange is about a mile from Hart Park.
I don't know the time tables on the weekend.
It's about 24 miles to the Del Amo Blue Line station.

Or 22 miles from downtown LB. Doable, but I don't really see that many getting up that early. Too bad there wasn't an all night century that correlated with this thing.

I am thinking of going down to this on the metrolink and then maybe do a ride to LB to catch the blueline.
Seems like a nice adventure for a Saturday Morning/afternoon.

Everything in Orange County seems so far away to me. Maybe because I haven't spent much time there...

I am going to take the metrolink at 8:45am down. If you want to meet lets say between 8:15 and 8:30 at the fountain in the courtyard at Union Station.

Hey it was fun! The food was great and I got a new jacket at the silent auction. Creative Thing and I rode back together as far as the SGRT then I continued home so I got a good long (50 miles?) ride in.
You were missed...;)
