Due to the magnitude of this ride, I decided to push it back.
Don't make this mistake of missing this one. Hereforth, Los Angelopes will take place every ODD month, instead of trying to make every month odd. Get it? Har.

Today, I'm not going to talk about the things you'll need to bring to this ride: water, tubes, good attitude, blah. I am going to tell you this:
You are going to need to have a talk with yourself before going to this ride.
You're going to have to ask yourself things like, "What scares me most?" and "Why do I trust anyone in the bike scene to lead me anywhere?" and "Do rides imitate life, or does life imitate rides?" and "What was my first impression of Los Angeles?" and "Have I made enough good decisions in my life to be comfortable with my passing?" and so on.
Eventually, you'll find peace. Bring that. Get close to it. Hold on to it.
ABOUT US:
THE LOS ANGELOPES. Typically this is the part where I say:
We ride freak-bikes, we are freaks riding bikes. Bring your tall bikes, small bikes, your best animal gear, and your YELLING lungs! This is the ride and route designed to be a spectacle. We will RIDE 15 miles at a VERY VERY SLOW pace to populated blocks and expand on their idea of fun! We are fun! WE ARE LOS ANGELOPES!!!! IF YOU LIKE THE CUBZZ, CRANK MOB, or WETSIDE, expect those energy levels! ... and so on until you know to expect a really happy day-long event. Well, fuck all that. I dont care about your fun. I want your body. I am the future. I will direct you to the exits out of the past.
You need to be checking this thread for updates from me.
There are going to be some pre-requisites for this ride.
I will give them to you as they come. Please dont ignore them or I can't let you come on the ride. Celery.

Feb can't happen because i will be scouting for the Salton Sea trip on Feb 7. The march 7 ride is too good for us to not put the time and effort into scouting and setting it up properly.

6 is not enough! I love you Barleye. There will be more. Marcus is hinting at something- freakbike only rides, tallbike only rides, special events, club stuff. Start building your freakbikes. You’ll need them.

dang it Barleye. I came to this thread with some bad news. Due to (potential) rain,
we have to postpone the ride to 3/14. TRUST ME on this. I am sorry this ride is being pushed back but its gotta be done right in order to work.
i'll post more details this week.

Ok. Here's the deal...
This is not your average Los Angelopes ride. Its not even a freak bike ride. This isn't even a bike ride. In fact, EVERY TYPE OF BIKE IS WELCOME! This is Los Angelopes Level 3: public event - any bike welcome.
I am going to reinvent Los Angeles for you. I have the keys to this city. If you dont believe me, don't come.
I am not going to announce the starting point on Midnight Ridazz, but will instead be EMAILING the info to people who RSVP their email to me, Friday morning. The start will be on the westside. I don't want a huge ride.
Included in my reply email will be a form which you will have to sign to become involved in this. Yes, this Los Ungelopes begins a new era for Los Angeles, and I am willing to let you be part of it. You will be committing to Los Angelopes hours of your time in the future. This will be explained in the form.
