Last Saturday 71-year-old Eduardo Perez of Canoga Park was riding his bicycle on Sherman Way in broad daylight when a person driving a sport utility vehicle mowed him down.
Los Angeles Police released an e-mail Thursday asking public help. Valley Traffic Detectives said "at about 12:15 p.m., 71-year-old, Eduardo Perez...was riding his bicycle eastbound on the south crosswalk of Sherman Way when he was struck by a possible small black 4-door sports utility vehicle. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Sherman Way, making a right turn onto Canoga Avenue when the collision occurred.
"The driver of the black sports utility vehicle immediately left the scene without rendering aid or identifying himself or herself as required by law, detectives said.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics rushed Perez to a local hospital where he died two days later.
"Anyone with information about the hit and run or whereabouts of the vehicle/driver is urged to contact Valley Traffic Division Detective Krajchir at (818) 644-8045 or Officer Martinez at (818) 644-8032. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone. All text messages should begin with the letters “LAPD.” Tipsters may also go to LAPDOnline.org, click on "webtips" and follow the prompts," police said.

I'm sorry you had to have met a scum fuckin pig on your last day on Earth Mr. Perez. I'd like to say things will get better, but the way things are going so far this year, it seems doubtful.
Rest in peace and I hope you lead a good life.
