I have two sculptures in an exhibit at L.A. City College (just up the street from the Bicycle Kitchen) during March. One piece is part of a series I’m working on inspired by rides I have done with the Midnight Ridazz. The title is “Traverse II/Wolf pack Hustle”.
The other work is about the founder of Pink Floyd, who wrote a song about a bike. That one’s title is “Syd’s Bike”.
Here are the details:
Exhibit title: The Los Angeles Assemblage Group
Exhibit dates: March 4 – March 21
Location: The Da Vinci Gallery, LACC 855 N. Vermont
(The gallery is in the south east quadrant of the campus)
Regular gallery hours: Monday-Saturday 10 am to 2 pm.
A reception will be held for unemployed ridazz and anybody else on Tuesday March 4 from 12 to 2 pm. I plan to ride there from East Long Beach.

This exhibition is open starting Monday.

I will be riding to the reception from Cypress. Its 32 miles up the L.A. River trail to District (Vernon), Santa Fe to 4th street, Alameda, Sunset, Santa Monica to Vermont. That's the route. If anyone is able to meet me, say at Union Station or Atlantic & District or even some other spot, post it and I'll make it happen.

Not sure if the college would appreciate, what is everclear, 150 proof? I forget, its been a long time since my college days.
From Cypress, I'm going up the San Gab. trail to South Street and crossing over to the L.A. River there. South St. is one of the few decent cross town roads through L.B.

It's 190 proof.

My no acount college friends and I somehow got a half pint bottle of Everclear just for fun many, many years ago. I could only manage a tiny sip of that 190 proof liquid fire. That stuff was the shiznitz!
Olivera St. at 11 works for me. I insist on making a spoke card, but it will be after the fact.

Creative Thing, User1, Crazy Eddie, Alice Strong and myself had a short ride to LACC and saw CT's art peices. It was all Assemblage Art, reminiscent of the "Readymades" of the Dada period. I enjoyed CT's peices and It was good to see Mr. Rollers, Steveo4, and Skano show up to support. We then had tacos and went our own ways.
Nice riding with you all. See you all soon.

"Things", Reds.
The exhibit is open this Saturday 10am to 2 pm, also M-F same times. Its a short walk up the street from the bike kitchen.
