Bike Paths are not always for bikes

So I live in the 818 right near the balboa station of the orangeline. I do love the bike paths around here. There is some work needed, but I do use them regularly.
A few times a year these bike paths are just about as dangerous as Victory blvd itself.
and this past weekend was one of them.
A few times a year a bunch of assholes tear up the bike path across from Birmingham highschool to attend some type of festival. They drive on the bike path, they do not turn on their lights, they tear out causing gravel to scatter across the already torn up path.
Tonight on the way back from a bbq I was happy to see the bike path is not only for bikes.

this is blurry, but you can see the gravel that is so wonderful to ride on.

its illegal for cars to block sidewalks in residential neighborhoods. call the cops and see if they will come out and ticket the cars / get them towed.

It's shocking someone would take a car on the bike path!

then this poor guy, if you look at the photo you can see a bike right in-front of the car. The reason why the break lights are on are because the driver made a quick u-turn straight onto the bike path and really didn't see the cyclist on the path until he was driving on it.
Sorry about all these posts, This makes me so mad, I've send emails to LACBC and LADOT over the years and all I see is that the path gets more messed up.

yeah, im a big fan of the orangeline path but riding on it fucking sucks sometimes.
especially around pedlow park, the farmers market, and the dog park.
people don't pay attention coming out of those driveways.

Crazy... A friend of mine said she was going to a festival today at Birmingham High School... it's suppose to be a big event. That's probably what it was but sheesh... hope parking enforcement was out there. That one pic where theres a car on the path... is it parked there or was moving around to park on the grass part? Either way, I'd be so annoyed.

they are driving on the bike path to park on the dirt, there is no parking enforcement at all, no LAPD. no direction and the area they are parking on is clearly marked as no parking.
do you know what kind of event it is?

With coffers bled dry, you'd think they would've jumped on this like a skinny cat on a fat tuna can.

I rode that path to work regularly, and HATE that stretch of it... the sidewalk is shit and that blind turn for the dog park has cause many near misses. I just started taking victory until balboa.
