Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE repealing LAMC Section 26.01 regarding the City's bicycle licensing program. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the City Attorney. Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report. Community Impact Statement: None submitted. (Transportation Committee waived consideration of the above matter)

thanks for posting this. no diss in anyway to you Daymen, but it's hard to care about bike licenses, when people are fucking dieing in the streets.... #LAHatesbikes

Oh, I more than get that. It may not seem like it with the BMP stuff and another cyclist being killed earlier today, but I'd bet that this is another attempt by the City Council to respond to the rides that have happened Downtown recently. It's incremental, but it's on all of you that this stuff is happening.
The more we show up, the better the responses we'll get from the City will be. It's small stuff now because they aren't convinced we're going to hang around but as we do...
