BBD and i actually had a conversation several months ago about having a RHPS ride. He was playing Time Warp on his playlist and that started the conversation. He said out of all the rides he's done, he had never played any RHPS music before. I was surprised, given the ripe opportunity for a theme ride and costumes.
all the characters in RHPS have at least 2-3 different costumes too, so , for instance, you could be Tap Dance Columbia or Mousekateer Columbia or Laborartory Columbia........RADNESS

Man, I used to love playing Riff. 'Course, I was just as tall but about 50lbs lighter (i.e. skeletally thin), pale as the moon and had scary hair. It's hard not to spontaneously go into character sometimes.
i'm too zombified to do much of anything at the moment, honestly man. when you guys saw me the other week at la cabana i was still laboring under the misapprehension that i could handle not being on loads of painkillers - which was wrong. i had to up the dose for a while, but i've brought it back down again. doc says i gotta keep that leg as horizontal as possible.
A persistent sub-cultural phenomenon that people go in costume for, with cross dressing galore. Sounds like the Ridazz will fit right in. Can't wait. I reserved tickets for the show afterwards, it's been ages since I've seen Rocky.
Im' a little confused about the date on this one. I hve Rocky Horror Tix for 12:00am on 3/1, which is actually midnight on friday night. So the ride would need to be at 9pm on 2/29, unless everyone is actually talking about going to the movie on Saturday night, in which case, I need to change my tickets out. But looking at the ticket website, there is no 12:00am show on 3/2, so that implies that this MUST be happening on friday night. Someone ought to change the date on the ride announcement or there are gonna be lots of confused people showing up to ride on Saturday night.
More importantly, I don't wanna miss Los Angelopes on Saturday night.
This is indeed Saturday Night @ Midnight. The Sins O' Flesh website has more details on the show. Maybe the Los Angelopes can come by for a little ride cross over action like the double trouble ride on the last one. The Nuart theate is a local West Side destination.
OK, so if this is Saturday night at midnight, does that mean that I have tickets to the wrong show (showdate: 3/1/2008, showtime: 12:00am) or that the nuart website doesn't understand that midnight is actually the first minute of a particular date, not the last? I don't see tickets for sale on Sunday at midnight, so is it sold out or is the website just being dumb?
OK, so there are 3 rides all departing at 9pm. I'm usually a los angelope who happens to be riding to the Rocky Horror movie on a tandem with a RHPS virgin on the back seat. What to do, what to do?!!! I'm so very confused.
Has anyone made an effort to figure out a spot where the rides can meet up? Los Angelopes hooked up with Double Trouble last month and it was much fun. The RHPS thing has allowed me to finally convince a dear friend to come out on a ride, and I want to impress her with the level of fun, hilarity, and general mayhem.
hum, good question, as we are departing from scoops closer to 9.45 pm we are heading north to hollywood blvd then to theatre, watch the show then we'll find out where everyone is at so we can catch up. if you plan to purchase your tix at the box office get there by 1130pm. the route is posted, it's super flat. great for a virgin.
Well since we are riding out to the west. We have to eventually ride back east. Where the angelopes will be partying. While we wait to crash the Acura Bike Tour... well thats at least my plan.
If any of you want to do this again in the near future, but with a longer ride, there's a similar midnight RHPS screening / live show going on here in San Pedro every Saturday night at the (restored, art deco) Warner Grand Theater.
Midnight Insantity--the same group who used to do it at the Art Theater and the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

I'm actually going to start with the Angelopes, then turn around when the two rides cross paths. But in order to do that, I need to know roughly where the RHPS ride is at 1030-11 and I'm not sure who's gonna be on the ride. Would someone on the RHPS ride send me an SMS so I can have someone's number? That way, I can just call and find out where you all are at.

Killer time, dude. With the tail end of Los Angelopes, the Bike Tour, breakfast, and ride home through Griffith, I thought I'd sleep forever... but alas I'm here at work after 4 broken hours of napping. Sleep is for the weak.

that was my friend gloria. her boyfriend is actually pissed off now and has decided that it was MY fault because if she weren't out riding bikes with me, then the hot cocoa and coffee break at her place wouldn't have happened. apparently, he's going to have a 'talk' with me. i'm going to tell him to go fluff himself.

The soundtrack was FUCKEN BAD ASS! w/Mr.Bowie,Cure,Bestie,NewO,JoyD and Depeche a classic moment listening to Beastie Boys (No Sleep Til Brooklyn) at 10 in the AM after ridding from the Coliseum to the FREE ticket METRO ride, I only wish we could’ve joined you peeps for some breakfast, thx again 4 hauling the trailer ZUKO!! Believe it or not you had over 10,000 people stunned with enthusiasm pulling it thru the LA BIKE TOUR route, WOW! Not to mention the double decker bikes amazing the kids and the words of encouragement yelling out the megaphone, so hilarious, m&mbb had the kids at the finish line pumped up with the mustache to pass, ready to do another 20 with their green smiles….
