Cops doing something RIGHT

From the state of Colorado, where they now have a "no passing within three feet of a cyclist law" comes this article:
Driver-cyclist confrontation, driver pulls out a GUN, cyclist calls the police, and the police arrest the DRIVER. Finally a breath of fresh air.
My favorite part was reading this:
"If drivers are acting aggressive, but not necessarily criminal, he said, riders can dial *CSP on cell phones to log a complaint with the Colorado State Patrol. Drivers who tally several complaints will get a letter or a visit from the State Patrol about their aggressive behavior."
LA needs that. How can we make that happen?
I'm sure something could be done to implement that kind of policy.
As far as weapons being drawn from a civilian, either pull the trigger, or find that chrome shoved so far up that ass, you're going to need to be cryogenically frozen for medical science to find a way to pull it out!!!

The asshats that drive out here would be ready for such a program, IMO.
In fact, I could see a competition to rack up points or some shit going down at the expense of riders everywhere! I can imagine this only because I can not see a real punishment being passed for acquiring points. *shrugs*

There are repercussions in the Colorado system, yes? They get a "visit" from the po ... and then what? Do they get fined or jail-time or something if it keeps happening? I'd love to find out what happens if a driver continues to act badly.
