 Cheech Wizard is way older than the 80s, dudes. I personally first discovered him while going through my dad's copies of the National Lampoon from the early 70s, and I think he may be even older than that.

I read somewhere (possibly in the Lampoon again, so take it for what it's worth) that his creator Vaughn Bode died in an act of autoerotic asphyxiation. I'm sure this can all be verified on the googles, but I can't be fucked to look it up right now.
