so on the way back from the birfday ride i got bike jacked . across the street from my house. got chased by a car for three block ending with them jumping me for my bike, across the street from my house.
Bike:
*pink motobecane 1975 frame
*black deep v rims, quick release front.
*pink tire back, black tire front.
* white team pro classic brooks.
------ the white brooks I've only seen mine and my brothers on the rides. I now some one who has one but his is the $350 version. mine is the $200. so if you see a white brooks drop kick them for it. i'll post the serial number later.

Totally sux. But yea cycle into an open store like CVS or to a local PD if possible, and always carry some sort of non-lethal defense, I like Sabre Mace.

All great advice and logical, but we (I'm his brother) were 3 blocks from home when they started following us, and there was nowhere to go except home because it's a residential area. It literally happened in the dive way across the street from my house. I was trying to get away as they were taking my brothers bike so he was way outnumbered like 5 to 1 and I couldn't do anything but hope that they didn't have weapons.

yeah as my brother said above..
this shit happened literally on the drive way across the street from our house. To fast to really react and do anything being out numbered 5 to 1 is not cool.
but at least it was me and not any ot the other 10 ridazz that passed in the time i was making the police report.
to think the Ktown crew was 5 minutes behind us when this shit happened... with them it would've have been a different story.

from what I herd when they claimed their hood it was 3AK's but don't want to generalize... Ages 17-21 at most. All suspects bald headed. Latino Males.
car was either an Altima or a Camry , gunpowder grey. 4 door. that's all i have as i said it happened so fast the last thing passing my mind was catching the license plate.

We gotta roll in packs. At least as many as a car can fit cause this isn't the first time I've heard of a bunch of dudes in cars that's hassled riders. It seems like they only fuck with riders that are outnumbered. I always keep my knife with me but you never know if someone is packing something bigger. We need to stay alert, cause if this shit gets worse your gonna see riders staying strapped when they ride.

i'm sure this is terrible advice but if i were being chased by someone in a car for someone that wants my bike, i'd rather not stop. The second you put your foot on the ground, you've lost the fight. For them to take the bike from you, they have to get out of the car and physically remove it from under you. so what do you do? ride the sidewalk. teams of 2 or 3? cut the car off. hopefully you're wearing a helmet and then if the dumbass theives decide to take it to the next level, they'll run you over. but the odds of that happening are much smaller and if it does happen, congrats, you've just bumped them up to attempted murder charges. but seriously, jump on the sidewalk, take side streets, and always be aware of your surroundings anywhere and everywhere.
this i believe is more than enough reason to have a freewheel with brakes. not having to worry about where your foot placement is before you can make a jump move to avoid someone and or stop on a dime.

they'll most likely be drunk and NOT care about running you over for your bike.... cutting off the car would be retarded in my opinion, getting run over is not worth the bike in many cases because now you are injured and your bike is destroyed... not to mention the fact that you will probably never find these guys to get them charged with attempted murder anyway....

After we realized that the car was after us, that was our intention; not stop, but I think the driver was willing to hit us. We decided to ride on the sidewalk at that point. I rode passed a driveway and right as I was crossing it, the car just sped onto the driveway. The car then cut off my brother and our friend. One of the passengers got out of the car and just grabbed my brother's bike. He wasn't giving up the bike so 4 others came out of the car and the driver went after me while still in the car. I had crossed the street before the driver could pull out of the driveway and go after me. I managed to get out my phone at that moment and tried to call the cops, but I had gloves on and I couldn't press the right numbers. Right as I was trying to dial, one of those bastards saw me and ran after me, but I started pedaling and his slow ass never had a chance. Than I saw my brother and I tossed my phone at him and told him to call the cops.
