i would love to see a SAFETY RIDAZZ ride come down the pike here....
especially if it results in a very new kind of BIKE SAFETY VIDEO!!
now, i know there will be a LOT of y'all that simply cannot in any way shape or form deal with a SAFETY oriented ride.... but think of glory you could have by demonstrating your safety prowess on your freak tall bike!!
we've done some safety and awareness rides in the past....let's get another one together for an EPIC demonstration of how F.U.N. safety vests can be!! or rather:

Safety video is a great idea. Though I think %99 percent of it should be about not SWERVING LIKE A FUCKTARD the whole damn ride.
I've never really seen a car cause a wreck on a ride.
Its usually the fault of someone with hair trigger brakes or some kind of fixie madness happening in a tight group of riders.
Who can we get to play the Stop in the middle of the street with 200 people behind you guy?
Who can we get to play the Fixed gear Bull in a china shop?
Who can we get to play the drunken swerve machine? BMX or Beach cruiser?

it's already been suggested that we stop at all lights and stop signs.

I saw that "Safety Sirens" billboard on my way to work today. Made me laugh, cause the sirens lured men to their doom on the rocks. Hardly a terrific mascot for a safety campaign.

The evidence is irrefutable . . . I borrowed it from mrs. r for the last safety ride. I think when i get my own I'm going with the neon green.
I wish there was some kind of lightweight safety vest that had arms on it because I sometimes think that making our arms more visible would help a lot, especially when signalling turns, etc.

what would be some excellent SAFE SPACES that we could go to on this route....
what would we like to highlight/emphasize?
would there be a solidarity theme as well?
perhaps add to the list:
1. hospital
2. school
3. library
4. any other site of community interest that might be of interest to a city council person
5. other points of interest
6. street theater that could be performed for the occaision
7. any other kind of art element
6. could a crew of people commit to getting video and also agree to share it together to edit something.
if we do something big and positive we can put that spin out there into the media...and it needs it!!!
