What's the difference between mens and women's chamois? I think it might have less padding in the perineum (taint) area, but that's just an unfounded theory. Does anyone actually know the difference?

I've worn both...the women's chamois just seems more contoured (narrower) to me.

It used to be that the biggest difference was where they ran the stitching. Different anatomies tolerate seams in different places. Its possible that there is more to it these days, but it is probably still mostly in the seams.

the chamois is to prevent chaffing, not pad your penis. Women have wider hips than men, wider "sit bones", so I guess the chamois is wider.
