bicykillers and other rides go there often.
what makes it a "hipster" bar?
they treat cyclists really well.
they give us priority before other patrons.
they let us bring bikes inside.
they cut us deals all the time and are really friendly to us
i think its nice to show a cyclist friendly bar some support seeing there arent that many around.
so why don't you quit being a fucking dickwad. stay in LBC. that place is probably a dump since your piece of shit ass lives there.
you fucking dumbass. do you still call kids "emo" when theyre wearing black clothes or something? seriously, get over the whole labeling something "hipster" or not. that term is so fucking dead and moot.
what the fuck does that even mean anymore?
please post a picture of yourself. that way when you come around, we can all point at your sorry ass and say "NOT WELCOME"

if you come in via bike wearing the kit, you get all your beers served in a 24oz mayor's glass instead of the regular pint.
if you go there often enough, you'll get your money back eventually.

haha, touched a nerve there, did I? Don't cry because you know it's true.
whether I want a jersey or not, I'm simply calling it as I see it.
Anyway, I didn't ask to buy a jersey, I asked how much a jersey by itself would cost. This was in no way intended as an acceptance to your offer and therefore should not be regarded as such.

Can I buy just a jersey?
Lindsay Nelson
In order to get the deal at Tony's do we have to be wearing the full kit? Will just a jersey work? What about just bibs?
when i see you at the bar, then when u ask me if you can just buy the jersey or just the bibs, to me, its telling me that ur interested in purchasing,
you're simply calling it as you see it?
what exactly are you seeing?
it's a cycling kit for a bar that supports its cyclist patrons with respect.

I'm seeing almost every "rida" (read: Hipster) that I've been talking shit to for the past 3 years for riding a fixie suddenly turning into a "roadie" is what I'm fucking seeing. All these people suddenly running gears and strapping on "cycling kits" talking about their "groupos" when just a little while ago they were worried about how many PBRs they could fit in their messenger bag.
I'm not hating, dude. I like Tony's, I think the kit is really cool. You just can't deny that the hipsters are converting to road bikes in droves. And I think someone feels maybe a little guilty about that.

so what?
these kids are switching from fixed gear booze rides to sober roadie rides. theyre more obsessed about their fitness rather than how much beer they can drink. they are riding safer and riding harder. they are coming to fast rides such as trfkas, bicykillers, and wolfpack. they are faster than YOU now.
isnt that a good thing?
whats wrong with people getting geared bikes now? you used to call them idiots for riding fixed gear bikes and now when they switch over, youre calling them out again?

Everything is cyclical. It's the natural progression of things. In fact, one can claim that in this microcosm we can actually witness "evolution" happening right before our very eyes on a day-to-day basis, as opposed to waiting years, decades and even centuries for changes to be evident.
Stop bickering. Moar bikes please.

Please, in the future, try not to distort the meaning of "evolution". It only arms the ignorant.
By definition, evolution takes place over periods of time that escape the understanding of individuals in a non-abstract sense.
One of the common (and most destructive) mis-interpretations of Darwin is the phrase "survival of the fittest".

I for one am glad to see the recent bifurcation of the fixed gear hipster subculture. Half have realized that cycling is too hard and have bought mopeds and half, having been riding for a while now (and quit smoking), are becoming serious (looking) bicyclists.

Wait, hipsters realizing that their dogmatic insistence upon riding fixed was stupid, immature, and impractical is an evolution? Realizing how stupid they looked zig zagging up a 2% grade and that their knees would be gone in 5 years, an evolution? Please. They said riding fixed was an evolution. [Nevermind the fact that, if anything, it was a DEvolution.]
