I am getting my fixie today after saving up for a while now.What does a overhaul tune up consist of?how should i tune up my new ride?i dont want to go on a long as trip and something goes wrong.

Roll it into the Bikerowave / Bike Kitchen / Bike Oven and have one of the mechanics help you learn everything you need to know. If you're going to be doing long rides, it's best to know how to fix/adjust stuff yourself.
But a mechanic should give you a pretty decent rate for tuning up a fixie, as there aren't any derailleurs to adjust. (Hopefully you've got at least 1 brake, but if not, that's even less to tune.)
If you're taking it to a shop, ask around for recommendations, and make sure you understand what they're going to do so you can make a fair comparison between shops.

Followup, since I didn't answer your question.
A tuneup/overhaul on a fixie should probably consist of much of the following (this is TOTAL overkill, but it's a new bike and it's a fixed gear, so you want to make sure it's good, and you can do much of this yourself) :
Inspecting the frame/fork and making sure everything's straight
Inspect the wheels, check for flaws / spoke tension / dishing.
(if it's brand new, you want to make sure it's ok while you can still return it.)
Pump up the tires to the proper pressure.
Checking the bearings (bottom bracket / headset / axle), and adjusting/lubing as necessary.
Checking the chainline, making sure everything's straight.
Making sure the chain is properly tightened, the rear wheel is properly aligned, and the skewer bolts are properly tightened down.
Make sure the cog and lock ring are properly tightened.
Making sure the crankset and pedals are properly tightened.
(You should make sure everything's tight after every ride as well.)
Adjusting/aligning the handlebars / seat angle / seat height to suit the rider.
Adjust the brake alignment and tension (if you've got a brake, if not MAKE SURE the chain is high quality, as stopping on a brakeless fixie gets tricky after your chain snaps).
That should be a good start.
