September 27. You're broke. You want to ride.
Nourish yourself with value menu items while completing 62.1 miles of fast daytime riding.
Hey if Michael Fred Phelps can get away with eating fast food only, then we should be able to as well.
We hustle but NOBODY gets left behind.
Match our pace to whoever is out that day but make sure we burn up all the calories we consume..
another reason to get fat and then burn it all up. hurray for metabolism!

whats the route? are there stupid hills to ascend and descend that wouldnt be a good idea to do on fixed?

the route will include as many straightaways and bike paths (not lanes) as possible. not too many hills, keeping it relatively flat doing zig zags east/west north/south.

yay saturday is coming up. value menu metric century.
very doable, i did this route this past tuesday, and we'll have the slower folks set the pace and lead us.
double lane rules, this is a somewhat serious ride.
if you want to know what it means to really know how to ride, come out and learn. echelons, cornering, we're doing it all.

Please eat a 10pc chicken nugget meal for me at McDonalds. With iced coffee. And a chicken strips meal for me at Jack In The Box. With bacon cheddar potato wedges on the side. And spicy chicken strips at Rally's. With an extra side of large fries. And a chicken bacon swiss sandwich at Carl's Jr. Thanks guys.

I'm broke, sort of. So, I will be riding this ride to get free food and garner respect from fellow riders for tearing your pace a new one.

whatevers....I'm coming off of a recent a broken foot. I feel way stronger on the bike than I do walking or running. So, I'll see you guys there. I'll try to keep up with the 20 mph pace line with 5 pounds of ugly food in my gut.

ijunes...you put on a great ride. Thanks for being aware of everything happening, and of different abilities within our group. The ride was absolutely perfect. We rolled through places I've never seen before...such a beautiful day. Keep up planning the great longer rides, man. I would be honored if you could make the DarkCen Metric or the Dark Century. Thanks. I couldn't have had a better Saturday.

i woke up too late to make it up to LA from Long Beach for this ride. Sucks, sounds like it was a fun ride.

actually...I won't be able to make the ride in two weeks. The DarkCen Metric begins on the evening of Saturday, the 11th of October. This is a ride I planned, and I must attend it. But, to whoever is going on ijunes' metric in two weeks, you will have fun....for sure.

Awesome ride, I appreciate the camaraderie. Sorry for the late post, decided to stay in LA for the night. The ride took us places I have never been and I can't think of a better way to spend the day. What else can I say but ...Thank You!!
