Hey, Dot!
I'm riding up from Long Beach. Leaving home by 11:00 am and arriving around 1:00. I need the time to cool off, eat lunch and sign in.
See you there.

That was a great meeting all in all. let's make sure they implement all the motions they passed:
- sharrows on fountain and vermont, and MORE
- bike racks on DASH and Commuter Express Busses
- Cyclists Bill of Rights incorporated into Bicycle Master Plan
- Bicycle Boulevards and Bike stations in each Council District
...
what else did they mention in the meeting?

i personally witnessed Stephen Box handing the Cyclists Bill of Rights to a crew of very VERY supportive members of the Los Angeles City Council.... (a.k.a. the transportation committee meeting today) (love it!)
Councilwoman Wendy Greuel offered a very kind welcome to the cyclists in the room. I sent her an email of thanks yesterday and got a sweet little reply from her. I was really inspired by her intelligent leadership on the issues...
Councilman Rosendahl especially made some eloquent and compassionate statements about the road rage incident by way of introduction.... and announced the community meeting on july 14th to discuss the incident...
He emphasized that he never EVER again wanted to see a situation like this emerge and how crucial it is to address these issues right away.
thanx for the update dorothy....i think my smile might make me cry....
:)
