When I lived in Echo Park, I had a roommate who hadn't washed his jeans in a year and a half. When he finally decided to wash them, he asked me to take a picture of them so he could see how much the color changed in the wash.
He was downright sentimental about those pants. I didn't understand. I still don't understand.

There's something symbolic about starting a new pants thread about washing one's pants. It's as if the thread itself is an act of renewal, a washing of pants, as it were, for the entire forum.
Which is a good thing, because the forum really, really needs to wash its pants.

you dont have to wash your pants. just stick them in the freezer for a day. it kills the bacteria and the bacteria is what smells. that wont help as far as stains go though.

best thread of day.
speaking of threads.... i hate that my cut offs fray so much. I wash my pantaloons after about 3 wears. I'm thinking maybe this is excessive. I'm thinking this is why pants I've had for 6 months look like they're 3 years old. Also, the beloved memory of my saddle is forever imprinted on the ass of deez PANTS.

I went a whole year once.
Then when I washed them they changed colors and werent as nice as when they could stand on their own.
