Sunday April 12th 2PM-8PM
The block at Heliotrope and Melrose will be blocked off to Car traffic!
Track events, polo(bikes and mallets will be available to use), ice cream, beer, and debauchery.
The Bicycle Kitchen will be a part of a raffle including a 51cm vintage Falcon Track frame with a full Campy set up, and a 56cm Italavega road frame with a full Campy set-up.
There will also be prizes from:

Thanks. Up pretty late. Didn't know if including the fight would ruin the good vibe, but it actually kind of added to it. It was just too funny when the dude whipped off his shirt and everyone was like "Oh jeeez."

on a separate note:
"that (shirtless) guy" in the fight scene,... i've heard that "that guy" has a steel face (literally). be ready with some jedi/sith powers or some body blow combos if you get on his bad side.
I have just one opinionated critique:
we have a competitive and agressive, montage of bike tricks and skills. and we have footage of great socializing,which is great, i can see the community in it and the beautiful details added are also the shots of children on kiddy bikes. but the violence or "the violence erupting" scene is a complete 180 degree contrast that kinda' takes away from the quality. next time i'd leave one or the other out. the footage contradicts the other community and fellowship positive messages conveyed. it goes from violence documented and then to sweet and innocent family and community fun. JUST MY GOOD WILLED TWO CENTS COMING FROM THE FORCE, NO MATER WHAT SIDE IM FROM...

if you are documenting an event, why censor it? i suppose its easy to act like fights don't occur but it did. its also interesting, unexpected and contrast all the other images in the edit. just like the fight did in real life. it was totally out of place.

Darth, go back to sleep, ;) I think the footage was great, and I hate editing stuff like that out cause it happend, like life why censor it? I wasn't able to go so watching this video which was edited and shot soo fucking awesome BTW, made me feel like i was there,

okay you are right... i'll take back my harsh critique. i guess i was just making it a very personal opinion... but you're right it is on video and as negative or unfortunate as it may seem it did happen and it will be talked about a next years by those who saw it go down and the same goes for other incidents good or bad. sweet or sour moments are all worth documenting if the electric eye catches it. - why not. I APOLOGIZE FOR MY POOR JUDGEMENT OR CRITIQUE.

Thanks for the feedback. I hear ya about the violence. I think it did show that the majority of people worked to calm the situation and not egg on the fight. Which shows a positive community / vibe in my mind. I debated putting it in, but it cut so well with the drum roll. Ha. Which brings me to a horn tooting alert. I made the music too. Dj Me Dj You was a name I released a couple albums under a few years ago. Stoked you dug it.

Ahhhhhhhggggggggg...................I missed the whole thing.
I was stuck at Lake Balboa, my only velofaction coming from the bike-cars that you can rent. Then no love from the pollen and allergies...I hope someone partied double-time for me.

Yeah the fight was something I happily missed. It was a part of the event that peep would have edited out of the day if they could have,but can't. So it's documented.
I too find the taking off of the shirt being a precursor to battle rather humorous. Maybe we can have it as a requirement to some of these races?
If I take my shirt off during one of my heated discussions,will you take me seriously then?

I'm not good at selling the music. I have a closet full of cd's and vinyl to prove it. Though I had some help on that track. Sesame Street wasn't stoked that I sampled Bob and Susan for that jam. I have a nice cease and desist letter from Big Bird's lawyer. Thus the closet full of plastic.

That was an awesome video and great music! Judging for the previous posts that it was your music? If so think maybe I can take one of those cd's from you if I were to loose some money near, on or around you?
